How many tasks are on the CELPIP Speaking test?
Eight: giving advice, a personal experience, describing a scene, making predictions, comparing and persuading, a difficult situation, expressing opinions and an unusual situation. Most give you 30 seconds to prepare and 60 to 90 seconds to speak. Tasks 5 and 6 give you 60 seconds to prepare.
How is my speaking answer scored?
Your recording is transcribed and scored on the four CELPIP speaking dimensions: content and coherence, vocabulary, listenability and task fulfillment. You get an overall band, a score and reason for each dimension, rewritten lines from your answer and a CLB 12 model answer.
What do I need to practise?
A computer with a microphone and a recent browser. There's nothing to install. A headset gets you closest to the test centre setup.
