Writing practice questions
Pick the email task or the survey task and write one answer at a time. Use it to build a structure you can repeat under pressure.
Free prompts in both tasks
Email and survey practice with sample answers and AI feedback.
Take a CELPIP writing practice test online or practise one task at a time. Write a Task 1 email and a Task 2 survey response with exam timers and a word counter. Get an estimated CELPIP score, sentence corrections and a model answer. Mock test 1 is free, and signing up includes your first AI score.
Two tasks, about 53 minutes in total. Both ask for 150 to 200 words and are scored on the same four dimensions, so the habits you build on one carry over to the other.
Task 1
Read a short situation and write an email that covers all three points listed in the prompt.
Task 2
Read about an issue, choose one of two options and explain clearly why you prefer it.
Submit an answer and you get a band from 1 to 12 plus a score for content and coherence, vocabulary, readability and task fulfillment, each with a reason. The feedback quotes sentences from your answer and rewrites them, then shows a CLB 12 response to the same prompt.
The grader was tuned on official CELPIP writing samples and rubrics so it doesn't inflate a weak answer. Treat the band as a close estimate for tracking progress.
